Bardstown, KY City Ordinance

Type of Law: 100% Smoke-free Workplace and Enclosed Public Places. All enclosed public places and places of employment including facilities and vehicles owned, leased or operated by the City; includes private clubs and enclosed residential facilities such as nursing homes.

Where Smoking is Not Prohibited: Private residences except when used as licensed childcare, adult day care or health care facility, and except in private or semi-private rooms in nursing homes; outdoor areas of enclosed places where smoking is prohibited if at a reasonable distance from outside entrances, operable windows, and ventilation systems.

Bill Would Ban Smoking in Cars With Kids

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS | JANUARY 12, 2011 | A bill filed by House Speaker Greg Stumbo would make it illegal to smoke in a car containing children. The Prestonsburg Democrat told the Lexington Herald-Leader that the idea for the bill came from a conversation with his wife, Mary Karen.
