Manchester Recognized as State Leader Ending Tobacco Use, Marks Two Years Smoke-Free

KY FORWARD | UNKNOWN | JANUARY 30, 2014 The city of Manchester has kicked the habit citywide as it celebrates the second anniversary of its smoke-free workplace ordinance. The Southern Kentucky city’s smoke-free anniversary coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Surgeon General’s first report on the health effects of smoking and tobacco use.

AHEC Programs Go Smoke-Free

S.KY AHEC Report | DWAINE HARRIS | FALL 2011 | The Southern KY AHEC is showing more support for Kentucky’s smoke-free movement. In addition to expanding our no-smoking zones farther away from the front doors of our conference venues, we have joined the Smoke-Free Kentucky Coalition, whose mission is the completion of comprehensive laws at the local and state level eliminating secondhand smoke in all public and work places, including restaurants and bars.
